      I totally think he meant hope but then again, anyone with a tiny bit of talent will be help.

      With that being said, it’s been a very long time since I have felt the leafs were going in the right direction and with Lou at the helm for two more years I think by the time he is done they will potentially be a competitor for a wild card spot.

      Loved the examples of Leaf greats, especially the Sittler RC!

      Predictions for Mr. Matthews in his rookie season: 20 goals, 60 points and he will be the first Leaf to win the Calder since….Brit Selby and hopefully a better NHL career than Brit.

      The whole time they had Mats (save for the Mogilny years), they wished for a proper winger. The whole time they had Kessel, they wished for a proper centre. This kid might finally have a second player with some idea what he’s supposed to be doing. I hope for help. 🙂
